Welcome to the KP Connection. KP's weekly communication!

Message from Joy K. Wright, Principal of King Philip Middle School

The entire KP community extends a warm welcome to our fifth grade students, parents and guardians. We hope you were able to visit us in March at one of our orientation programs. Students will be visiting KP with their elementary school soon. This edition of the KP Connection is to introduce you to our weekly communication designed to keep parents/guardians up-to-date with upcoming events, current KP news and educational links. We hope you enjoy!

2015-2016 Scheduling

Scheduling for the 2015-16 school year has begun. All of our incoming 5th Graders have received course election forms that should have been completed and returned to their 5th grade teacher by March 27. Our goal, as always, is to schedule student's classes based on our students' academic needs and to maintain balanced teams in regard to student make-up and numbers.

From the KP Nurse's Office

Listen dear parents and you will hear

Some information from the KP nurses for the upcoming year.
We are here for your child if they don't feel well,
You send them to school healthy but you never can tell.
Earaches, heartaches, jammed thumbs and fingers,
Wheezes, sneezes and coughs that linger.

Allergic reactions, occasional lice,

contusions and bruises from falls on the ice.

"I feel weak and dizzy and my stomach is grumbly",

"I didn't eat breakfast, I feel really hungry."
My tooth fell out, my throat is sore,

My lips are chapped and my jeans just tore.

We check all the records for physicals and shots,

We'll send a reminder if they are not.

Many students visit our office each day,

We take the time to listen to what each has to say.

Please call, email or stop in if you have something to share,

We love being school nurses and that is why we are here.

Thank you for your time and here's to next year.
