Jog-a-thon (Friday, Dec 9)

The Jog-a-thon field day was rescheduled to next Friday, December 9, due to expected rain this week. We have extended the donation collection deadline to Monday, December 12. We are close to the $16,000 "Silly String the Principals" goal, but we need to exceed that to better fund our programs such as field trips and family nights. We would like to reach $25,000. You can collect donations as cash and checks, but you can also receive donations online through 99 Pledges (https://app.99pledges.com/fund/CHESJogathon2022).

We recently announced that the three top classes (grades TK-2, 3-5, and CLS/SDC) will all get small Squishmallows! The kids were very excited about this goal at Friday Flag. Please help your students win the competition.

Individual classes have adopted the names and colors of colleges and universities and the teachers would love help to create banners and spirit items. We also need volunteers to help run the event that day. You can sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090F48ACAE2CA7F94-jogathon. We now have one more week to create even more team spirit!

*** Reminder: In order to help in the classroom or volunteer for the event when there are students on campus, we do need for you to be a registered volunteer with the school. If you would like more information on how to register please CLICK HERE or contact Ms. Gina in the front office. If you only plan to attend your student's session, then you can come to the school as a "visitor", like with Friday Flag. ***

Blanket Drive (Dec 5-9)

We will be conducting a blanket drive on December 5th-9th, but we have already put out the box in front of the office. Please see the attached flyer for details. We will accept new blankets or "no sew" blankets that you make at home.

Standard Response Protocol

TVUSD students in all grades will be learning about the Standard Response Protocol in case of an emergency. The Standard Response Protocol is included in each site's safety plan and there are posters around campus. It is very important that all students as well as staff know how to respond in the four different scenarios. Student and Staff Safety is a priority!

Universal Meals

Free Breakfast and Lunch

This year, breakfast and lunch are provided for free to all students at every school. For more information view our video or visit our website.

We encourage all families to complete a meal application. Even though all

meals are free we still need meal applications completed so families are eligible for pEBT, AP test discounts, transportation discounts/fee waivers, etc...

Here’s a flyer to explain why completing a meal application is beneficial.
