Universal Share Session #2
If you'd like to attend, please bring a smart device: smart phone, tablet, chromebook, etc. along with a set of headphones. We will try to access the webinar from the classroom computer, however if we're unable to, you will be able to use your device to login and participate.
If you elect to log in from home, I will forward the link as soon as I receive it from HMH.
Either way, it should be a great great evening of discovery!
FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions
This is an error with the software and HMH is working to correct it. In the meantime, if you have a student in this situation, please administer the written test. The PDFs for both assessments are available in the +ASSESSMENTS button. At this time, it does not appear that their grade can be added to the Workshop Assessment section of the Data Dashboard. I have mentioned this issue along with the error. Hopefully, they will correct the problem, but also include a mechanism for uploading data. I'll keep you posted.
2. My student is working in the Writing Zone and one of the following is happening:
- they can't select an image, and the screen freezes,
- they compose their essay and the screen freezes, or
- the screen freezes.
This error has been forwarded to HMH. It appears that this is only happening to students who have not completed the first four zones in the software. According to Theresa Bibbs, HMH, the Writing Zone is NOT supposed to open until students have completed the Explore, Reading, Language, and Fluency Zones. However, for the students encountering the freezing error, the zone has opened prematurely.
The temporary solution is to ask student to be sure they have completed the first four zones before beginning the Writing Zone. This should address the freezing error. Please let me know if your student(s) continue to struggle.

Tracy Moore, Truitt MS, created these vocabulary cards for Workshop One & Two to use as a scaffold in teaching the vocabulary. We definitely want to Scaffold Up and make the workshop content comprehensible wherever possible.
