2022-2023 Werner Budget Survey-Parents

Each year, we ask our community to provide input for our upcoming staffing and budget year. Please take a few minutes to provide your input on the 2022-2023 Werner Budget Survey-Parents. This survey will close on Jan. 31. Thanks for your help!

Healthy Kids Club 5210+ Challenge

Dear Werner Community,

We have an exciting opportunity presented to us by Healthy Kids Club from UC Health. It is the 5210+ Healthy Habits Tracking Log. This year we will be handing out a paper log that will go home the week of January 24-28 so that you will be ready on February 1st to start. Make sure to put your child’s name, grade, teacher’s last name and t-shirt size (if you get 80 or more Healthy Habits boxes checked) on the log. The best place to put your child’s 5210+ log is on the refrigerator or on your kitchen table. At the end of February, I will send a link to enter in your results. It’s a fun, scientific way to track your child’s health!

If you have any questions, contact Coach J. at djulian@psdschools.org or visit Coach J.’s Learning Page or Website that also have information about how PE works too.

A Note from Our Health Office

Student Illness

Students who develop COVID-like symptoms while at school will need to go home. This includes: new or worsening cough, upset stomach, sore throat, runny nose, congestion, and headache. Some of these symptoms overlap with other health conditions such as seasonal allergies or anxiety. If your student has a known health condition, it needs to be documented with a note from a medical provider and turned in to the Health Office in order for your student to remain at Werner with these symptoms. You can look up the health conditions on record for your child by logging in to ParentVue, click on ‘Health’, then click on ‘Health Conditions’.

"Return to Learn" Guidance

If your child is experiencing illness symptoms, please refer to the Return to Learn Guidance for helpful pointers as to whether your child can return to school or not.

FREE Rapid At-Home Tests

From the Federal Government: https://www.covidtests.gov/

Every home in the U.S. is eligible to order #4 free at-home COVID-19 tests. The tests are completely free. Orders will usually ship in 7-12 days.

For more information, and to enroll in receiving free at-home tests, go to: https://covid19.colorado.gov/covid-19-testing-at-home.

Pictures Needed

Throughout the year, our yearbook committee collects pictures. Please share your pictures of your student to our Werner Photo Album.
