Self Determination TEKS Vertical Alignments
A part of the transition process is annual IEP goals that move toward the post-secondary goals. These goals can be academic or functional and should be based on the students PLAAFP and data collected.
The Self Determination Vertical Alignment is a great resource for teaching self-determination and decision-making skills that potentially support moving towards the post-secondary goals.

Annual Goal-Functional:
Within 36 instructional weeks, with direct weekly social skills instruction, Sam will actively listen to a peer or staff member for a 3-minute period and verbally respond with a comment related to the topic during one documented observation a week in 5 out of 6 trials.
