Syllabus Checklist

Please use this syllabus checklist as a guide as you create your course syllabi.

“We hope you are hard at work planning your BEST LESSON for your first day of school. Your BEST LESSON should not include the distribution of rules or your syllabus, which is why it is not due to your administrator until August 15th. Please spend the bulk of your time planning your first day BEST LESSON that will hook and engage your students. Sell your subject…this will set the tone for the entire school year!"

Important Dates to Remember

2018-2019 Voluntary Move-In Date

July 23, 2018 from 8am to 3pm

8am-10am- New Teacher Meeting

8am to 12pm- Custodial Staff will be available to assist

1pm-3pm- Potential Pack Leader Students may be available to assist with moving in.

Staff Summer Retreat

July 25th and July 26th

8am-3pm both days

A stipend will be paid for both days, dress code is casual (shorts/t-shirts are fine…might want a light jacket as it is cold in cafeteria). A light breakfast/coffee will be served. Lunch will be on your own each day with department team members.

Together we Learn!

We are pleased to announce that registration is open for the Together We Learn 2018 Summer Symposium, which is taking place at Cypress Creek Middle High School from July 30 to August 1, and at the District Office on August 2. Click the links to access maps of each campus.

Review the Session Schedule document located here to help plan your week. You do not have to attend all days, or even a whole day. Find what sessions best fit your needs and schedule your sessions as you wish.

We encourage you to visit the sponsors who will be on site each day to enter your name in the daily door prize giveaways. Please note that this event is voluntary and stipends will not be paid to those who attend.

*If you are interested in earning in-service points for sessions you attend, pay close attention to the number of points awarded for each session when you are registering, because some sessions do not offer points. In order to receive in-service points, an Implementation Reflection must be completed in myLearning. More information will be sent to participants after the event.
