The 5th grade STAR

Walk in Faith with Mercy and Grace

News to Know.....for the week of March 21, 2016

IT'S HOLY WEEK!!

Sorry this didn't come home yesterday...

The next few days are going to go by quickly. Tomorrow is our study trip to the Discovery Cube. I just sent an e-mail to the volunteer chaperone/drivers, so please look for it if that is you.

I hope all of you have looked on Sycamore at your child's report card. I know it is a different system than it used to be, but that's the tech age we're living in now. If you have any questions, let me know.

On Thursday, we will be watching The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. This is rated PG and is a great culmination of our Lenten novel. If you have not talked with your child yet about why we read this novel during Lent, please do so. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the timing of this book! The students are allowed to bring a drink and a snack to enjoy during the movie. We will begin the movie right away (it is a long movie) so hopefully everyone will be here on time. The kids will be required to do a followup comparing and contrasting the book and the movie. If they don't finish this after the movie before dismissal at noon, they will need to do it over break - it shouldn't take much time though!

I wish you and your family a very blessed Easter and a fun vacation. I look forward to hearing about all their adventures when we return!
