Catch a ride on the stagecoach
the fast way is the best way.
history of the stagecoach.
advantages and disadvantages.
- They have successfully brought passengers to there destinations.
Regardless of gender, most all were under the age of 40. On some routes, each driver would have his or her own section, which they would drive over and over, generally covering about 50 miles.
Though stagecoach travel for passengers was uncomfortable, it was often the only means of travel and was certainly safer than traveling alone. If passengers wanted to sleep, they were required to do so sitting up and it was considered bad etiquette to rest ones head on another passenger.
disadvantages
- The stages had three seats, providing for nine passengers with little leg room.
