Fun Run Donations and Prizes End on Friday, October 21st
FUN RUN is the PTA’s primary source of funds and is a fun and memorable event for all students, teachers and staff. This year we have teamed up again with The Get Movin’ Crew to utilize social media to gain more exposure for our fundraiser. We hope this will help us achieve our 2016-2017 goal of $20,000. We are hoping that each student will be able to cumulatively raise $50.
Please review the following information:
All students are asked to collect pledges and run or walk for 15 minutes (10 minutes for Kindergarten/1st grade) to raise money for our school.
Please do not allow your child to solicit alone door-to-door.
All donations are tax deductible; checks should be made payable to PLEASANT LAKE PTA. Online registration is now available to pay by Credit Card. Receipts will be given for any donation of $250 or more.
If your family prefers not to solicit pledges, please consider making a donation on behalf of your child/children. The FUN RUN is the PTA’s primary fundraiser and the only time that we will ask for a donation. Please consider this when deciding how much to contribute.
Why Should I Contribute?
100% of the money earned from FUN RUN stays at our school and is used to fund important programs that will enhance your child’s education. The PTA gives a significant percentage of the funds raised to the following programs:
5th Grade Musical
5th Grade Graduation & Celebration
Back to School party
Field Day Lunch
Assist with Field Trip Costs
Playground Equipment
Staff Appreciation weekClassroom and School Supplies
Classroom Technology
School Assemblies
Books for students, classrooms and our Media Center
Scholarships/Financial Aid for students
Math Pentathlon
Reflections Program
Author Visit
School Celebrations
and much, much more!
The classroom in each grade raising the most money will win:
A special spirit day or extra recess
Any class with 100% donation participation wins:
A pizza party sponsored by PTA
1 student per grade level that brings in the largest donations gets a chance to throw a pie in Mr. Maktari’s face!
If we reach our goal of $20,000, Mr. Maktari will spend a day on Pleasant Lake’s roof!
EVERY STUDENT WILL RECEIVE
A FREE FUN RUN T- Shirt
STUDENTS THAT DONATE ANY AMOUNT WILL ALSO RECEIVE
A FREE pair of glow-in-the-dark glasses
STUDENTS THAT DONATE $50.00 AND ABOVE WILL ALSO RECEIVE
Entry into the FUN RUN Prize Raffle with over 100 prizes
How does the prize raffle work?
For every $50 a student raises, they will be entered into the prize raffle! (i.e. $50 = 1 raffle ticket, $100 = 2 raffle tickets, $150 = 3 raffle tickets, etc.)
Students who raise $200 or more will be considered Pledge Superstars and will have a special lunch with Mr. Maktari.
Students can turn in donations through Friday, October 21st for entries into the raffle. This money can be turned in to school or submitted online through www.thegetmovincrew.com. Several prizes will be drawn at random each day (so the sooner you bring in your money, the more chances / more days you have to win). The last prizes will be drawn on Friday, October 21st.
Local businesses have donated awesome items to our prize raffle including both small and large items worth hundreds of dollars. These include but are not limited to passes to local places as well as big ticket items! Students can also win prizes donated from teachers and staff such as lunch with a teacher and Principal for a day. We have many amazing prizes that will sure to be a hit for all of our students that win!
PLEASE REGISTER YOUR CHILD FOR ONLINE PLEDGE SUCCESS!
Register your child for our FUN RUN by visiting www.thegetmovincrew.com
Find the tab for friends and parents and click on register your child. Follow the steps to get your child(ren)s site up and running.
Use the student fundraising page to promote online pledge donations using the email and social media tools right on their page. It’s super easy!
Watch your child’s pledge meter blast to the top fast! Most credit/debit are accepted from anywhere in the world. Check your child’s web page often to see all pledges they received in real time.
Reach pledge Superstar Star status by raising $200 and fireworks will ignite on your page plus you will have a special lunch with Mr. Maktari!
If you would prefer to send cash/check into school you still may do that. We will record that money for your child and they will still get the same exact reward possibilities. If you choose to pledge traditionally, instead of online, please submit it in an envelope and include your child's name, donation amount and the classroom teacher's name.
Good Luck fundraising!

Kroger Community Rewards Program
The PTA needs your help in providing our students and staff with as many resources as possible. One way the PTA helps is by contributing the funds earned through the Kroger Community Rewards program. If you shop at Kroger, we ask you to enroll your card to earn money for the PTA. This program does not take away your rewards earned toward gas or any other benefits. It is an additional way that Kroger gives back to the community. If you were enrolled in the past, please make sure to re-enroll and select Pleasant Lake Elementary PTA to earn the community rewards. You can follow the link provided here https://www.kroger.com/account/enrollCommunityRewardsNow
Also, if you have other family members (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) that shop at Kroger or Kroger affiliated stores encourage them to enroll their rewards card and select your student’s PTA for community rewards. Every little bit helps our students and staff.
Thank you,
Katarina Gasevski
PTA Co-V.P. and Scrips Coordinator
Pleasant Lake Elementary Directory Ads Still Available!
We are excited once again to bring to you our Pleasant Lake Elementary Directory for the 2016-2017 school year. This Fun2Raise Directory is a highly successful endeavor for us. Besides the standard Pleasant Lake Elementary school information, the directory will also contain offers and messages from local advertisers, as well as advertisers from our own school community.
This Fun2Raise Directory presents local businesses with great opportunities all year long and for many years to come. Here is where you as a Pleasant Lake Elementary parent come in. We are giving our parents priority ad placement in the Directory. If you have a business or work for a company that would like to advertise directly to Pleasant Lake families, teachers and staff, then this is the place for your advertising message.
If you or anyone you know would like to place an ad in the Pleasant Lake Elementary Student and Teacher Directory that will be handed out FREE to EVERY family and teacher in our school, please email Jodi Rankin at jodi@fun2raise.com or you may reach her directly at 952-641-7100 x101. She will walk you through the process and help you choose a message that will generate business for you and money for our school.
The Directories will be released to every family in November! Don’t miss the opportunity to advertise right here in your own backyard. Remember spaces and sizes are limited!
