HOLY ROSARY NEWSLETTER
Term 2 Week 3 Friday 7 May
FROM MARK
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Another really good week at school, culminating in our beautiful Mothers Day Prayer Service, and fabulous morning tea provided by your P & F. We managed to celebrate these events while navigating the restrictions in place. Cook book sales started today.
Speaking of books do check out Holly Butson’s news about next week’s Scholastic book Fair – always well-received! Certainly, as evidenced by the changes at last week’s Derby, things can and do change from day to day, so we will remain in touch with changes as they apply to our place.
Happy No Mask Mothers Day!

Principal
There have been a number of cases of Gastro in the school these past weeks. If your child has gastro, keep them away from school for 48 hours after vomiting and diarrhoea have stopped. If symptoms persist see your family doctor.

SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN AFTER SCHOOL #2
I am repeating this message from last term because a child and a parent were injured in this area last week.
As noted last term, your supervision of your children is generally great! However, concerns have been expressed by staff working in the building alongside the gym at the activities of some of our children after school finishes each day. Parents meet them outside the gate by Year Six, and some allow their children to climb the rocks and run around in front of their offices. The people concerned were not complaining about the children, but more to the point were concerned that, left unsupervised, children could cause themselves an injury. The rocks, dirt and paving are unforgiving. I could also comment on that area not being part of the school premises, but I won’t...
TEACHER GET TO KNOW YOU - KATE O'NEIL
Who was your favourite teacher in school and why?
My year seven teacher because she she truly cared about all the children in her class and she believed in all of us. She made going to school lots of fun and she’s the reason I wanted to become a teacher.
Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion?
I think all of the good ones have already come back. Things like scrunchies, monochrome and bold/bright colours.
Do you love or hate rollercoasters?
I do love rollercoasters but I’m terrified of heights so it depends how big the rollercoaster is.
What's your favourite family tradition?
Decorating the Christmas tree together on the first weekend of December and deciding what Christmas movies to watch each week until the 25th.
Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?
Jennifer Lawrence
What's your favourite zoo animal?
I can’t name just one favourite. I love the Penguins, Elephants, Lions and Giraffes.
What was the last book you read?
Soul Surfer by Bethany Hamilton
If you could share a meal with any 4 individuals, living or dead, who would they be?
Queen Elizabeth II, Rebel Wilson, Anne Hathaway and Aretha Franklin
If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?
This is dreaming big but relaxing on a super yacht in the south of France or Italy.
If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
Teleportation so that I can go anywhere I want, whenever I want.
