Most challenging aspect of current role: Getting kids focused and motivated every day. Phones are a huge distraction.
Most rewarding aspect of current role: The best part of every day for me is seeing the smiles and friendships from Partners PE. It is truly heartwarming.
Favorite or "Go To" Tip/Strategy: We try to keep a weekly routine. This helps all our students, teachers aides and partners know what to expect.

Additional Comments: This class has helped me "survive" my toughest days as a teacher. I look forward to it. I know that the class should be about what we (as a class) do for our special needs population, but many times it's what they do for us! My students and I both leave class feeling renewed with happy hearts.

AREA: Area 10 - Greater Dallas

The Special Olympics Texas: Greater Dallas Area Bowling Competition is an area-wide competition for athletes with intellectual disabilities. This is the largest competition in the Greater Dallas Area serving approximately 3,000 bowlers. The event is hosted by AMF Lanes in Garland.

SCHEDULE
Weekday: 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Saturday (Nov. 10): 7:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
School districts or school aged programs attend Weekday sessions, all other delegations will attend Saturday, November 10.

DEADLINES
All New & Renewed Athlete Medicals are required by: September 24, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.
Delegation and Athlete Entries are due: October 8, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.
ISD/Weekday date requests and estimated participants due: September 1, 2018.
