SAT Proctored on Campus Oct. 28
At NCCS, we will proctor the SAT here at school on Thursday, October 28, for seniors who want or need to take it. Please sign up using the Google form (student needs to fill it out, see the link below). The cost is $55, payable to NCCS. While many colleges and universities have become "test optional", many will still accept SAT scores and may also use them to inform their decisions concerning program placement or scholarship awards. Let Mrs. Moore know if you have questions.
After School Pick Up
Elementary families, thank you for your patience as we implement our new school pick up system. Our efforts are first and foremost with safety in mind, as well as consideration for the cold and wet days when standing outside becomes less than desirable.
If you need additional or replacement family ID tags, please email McKenzie Falotico (mckenzie_falotico@ncchristianschool.com). To help keep things efficient, if you are picking up your child at the gate, please form a line along the fence toward Winco while waiting. If you happen to forget your Family ID tag, please come into the office where our office staff will give you a temporary pass, signed and dated for the day you forget. This will need to be repeated each time you forget as only official tags will be accepted at the gate.
School COVID Updates and Reminders
Continue to monitor your student's health, keeping them home when they have signs of illness (fever, sore throat, runny nose, persistent cough, aches, loss of taste/smell), not typical of their normal well-being. Contact the office daily to report absences.
Those positive with COVID will be excluded from school and must quarantine at home for 10 days. This is a Public Health requirement. Students in this situaition will be supported by the school with remote learning.
Those who have been exposed to COVID include a close contact with a positive case either at home or at school while not wearing a face covering and within 3ft, for a cummunlative 15 minutes over 24 hours. This definition and expectation is provided by local public health for those requiring quarantine due to exposure. The timeframe for quarantine can be dependent on whether they personally become symptomatic/positvie or if someone in their home is positive. Our office will work with parents to determine the progession in such cases.
At NCCS, we are working diligently to mitigate COVID spread among students and staff. Please encourage your student to wear their face covering properly so we can be assured of this factor when tracing close contacts to positive cases. The expectation is that face coverings are being worn properly inside the school, when not actively eating or drinking or for a short break as necessary. If they are not wearing them, then they become a potential close contact.
