CCS Technology Department Members Attend Fall Symposium
Alabama Leaders in Educational Technology (ALET) recently held its Fall Symposium. ALET conferences provide excellent networking and professional learning opportunities for Alabama’s EdTech leaders. While attending ALET, Mr. Josh Swindall received their grant to attend the next International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference. ISTE is a nonprofit organization that serves educators interested in better use of technology in education.
Johnny Appleseed
Johnny Appleseed is a favorite study for our students. Appleseed was a folk hero based on frontier nurseryman John Chapman, who established orchards throughout the American Midwest. This folk story gave us a foundation for numerous activities during the week.
Field Trip Fun
Field trips let us take learning on the road! There are so many things to learn with our friends. Whether it is on the farm or at the zoo, learning is happening!
Great Schools Have Great Leadership
WES Leadership Team works hard to make sure our school is the best it can be! This group has a very specific focus. Helping our students succeed in all areas is the top priority.
Capstone & Chromebooks Make Great Combination
Capstone e-books are a great resource for our students. The library media center Chromebooks are the perfect vehicle to bring those e-books to our students! #perfectfit
Science Gets Real
Nothing is more powerful than digging in and going hands-on to learn science concepts. These students don't just read about it. They do it!
Reading Role Model
Each student needs to know that the adults in their life are readers! These students had the chance to see and hear an important adult (and school leader) in their lives when he did a read-aloud for the class. Thank you Mr. Gragg!
CMS Band: Night at the Stadium and Homecoming Performance
Our band members had a great time at a recent CHS football game. We are so proud of our students. Their behavior was exceptional. It was a wonderful experience for our band members as they were welcomed and encouraged by the CHS band members.
The following week, our band performed at halftime of the CHS Homecoming game! Great job CMS band!

CHS Makes Mark at Cullman County Fair
In addition to our busy Homecoming Week, it was also Fair Week. This means more traditions to celebrate including the Tuesday evening Fair Queen competition and a day of service for our CHS Key Club as they help clients of the CCCDD enjoy the excitement of the fair. We are so proud of our beautiful and talented Haylee Dauphin and our service-minded Key Club members. You all represent us so well!
