Nursemaid's Elbow

By: Sabree & Geneca

What is Nursemaids Elbow?

It is a partial dislocation of the elbow joint this happens when the ligament slips out of place by the elbow. In younger kids the ligaments aren't as strong and are loose making it easier to slip out of place.

How do you get Nursemaid's elbow?

Nursemaid's Elbow can occur when you pull or tug on a child's arm. It doesn't take very much for this injury to happen, that's why it is important for you to be easy with children.

This is painful for a child and can be prevented!!! Stop swinging your kids by the arms and picking them up by the arms.
