Trojan Times Elementary Update
For the week of December 11th
MONTHLY MINDSET-- 100% CONNECTED-- Own Your Life
Below is the message I shared with our students on Friday morning:
OWN YOUR LIFE- Your opinion and how you feel is important. Of course, you should listen to your friends and be respectful of their ideas, but what you have to say matters too! Don’t ever let your friends control the way you feel or what you say.
Weekly Recap
Winter Concert a Success
Thursday night marked another successful Winter Concert! Thank you for all who attended the concert. It was great to see all the supportive friends and family members in attendance. Mrs. Finck does a phenomenal job of preparing our students to be ready to perform. I feel like the show continues to get better and better every year. While Mrs. Finck leads the charge, I also want to recognize our teachers and support staff for all their help in making the concert night a success. It takes a team effort to get everyone lined up and ready to do their best! Thank you to everyone who helped make it a great night!
As you can see from above, we started our new mindset for December. December is 100% accountable. We did a mini assembly to discuss our new mindset on Thursday. Mrs. Hohn and Mrs. Meyer's classes were recognized for good behavior in the lunch room. Their classes have now earned the Golden Spoon, which means they get an extra recess sometime this month. Along with our conversation about mindset, I also talked to our students about my expectations for home sporting events. When there is competition taking place in the armory, I would like students to be in watching the competition. I'd like to avoid having kids playing in the lunch room area. Please help support me in this endeavor.
Finally, 4th grade students are working hard in preparation for the wax museum coming up on Wednesday morning. Our students put a lot of time and effort in preparing for their presentation day. If you're available Wednesday morning at 9:00am, please stop in to view their hard work!
