Lamkin Lines
March 8, 2022
From the Principal
We are SO looking forward to tonight’s Lamkin’s Safari Night and book fair and hope many of you have it on your calendar and can come, learn, and choose a book to read! There will be many other events before the end of the year, so stay tuned!
This year we have chosen to celebrate our teachers all year long, not just in one week! Our teachers are truly the best of the best and it is always such fun to watch their expressions and see the smiles as they receive uplifting words and little gifts of recognition. If you would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of your child’s teacher, a little note of your thoughts would mean so much to them. This is always a stressful time of year for both staff and students and a smile or kind word always raises someone’s spirits. We will be celebrating our exemplary staff throughout the rest of the year, and they truly deserve each day they are recognized! They are truly Lamkind!
On that note, Lamkin’s teacher of the year was chosen last month by the staff and the administration. I am so proud to tell you that Ms. Tana Dawson, an outstanding fourth grade ELAR teacher, was chosen to represent Lamkin as the campus role model of an outstanding educator. Tana has been a Lamkin educator for 21 years and has made a difference in countless student’s lives. She is a wonderful example of a “behind the scenes” lady who makes wonderful things happen for children and staff alike. Congratulations Ms. Dawson!!
Finally, we are just days away from spring break which will begin Monday, March 14th and school will resume on Monday, March 21st. Have a safe and restful break, it will be very busy for the rest of this school year!!
As always, we love receiving your input, suggestions, questions, and comments, and so appreciate your ongoing support. I would also like to ask that you take the time to read the School Messenger letter that was sent out to our Lamkin families today and is also posted on our campus website. If we can be of any help, please don’t hesitate to call the school.
