A Message from Principal Bame
Dear Laurel Park Families,
Happy mid-September to all! The autumn season brings many exciting events and celebrations for our community at large, including local festivals and traditions. Each year, our fifth-grade students participate in an art project to assist in beautifying an area of our school.
This year, our fifth-grade students are painting a mural on the outdoor wall closest to our bus loop. Be sure to lookout for the finished product over the next few weeks!
This Friday is Instructional Assistant Appreciation Day. Our staff family will certainly share our appreciation each of our amazing IAs, but we want to extend the invitation to all of you. If you have a moment to share words of affirmation, verbal or written, or another form of appreciation, I am sure our team of IAs would greatly appreciate your kindness.

Sra. Bame
Get Ready for International Dot Day!
This Thursday, September 15th, we will celebrate Peter Reynolds book "The Dot", a story of a little girl who learns to trust her own creativity and use her confidence to “make her mark” on the world. We will join students in 197 other countries in celebrating this book. First, Mrs. LeSueur will read aloud The Dot at our first Lucky’s Bedtime Stories on Wednesday night at 7:00 pm. Then join us in wearing polka dots on Thursday. You could even share some writing or drawing with your teacher, showing how you plan to make your mark or change the world.
