Language Workshop
We made some fun cat toys that we are hoping to donate to an animal shelter in our community!

Reading Workshop
We started introducing the ideas on our new anchor chart called STORYBOOK READERS. This week we talked about the top row of ideas. We modeled these ideas using a fun read aloud. Students are encouraged to try the ideas out during independent reading time.
Mrs. Relich's mentor text was The Little Red Hen.
Mrs. Theiler's mentor was The Three Billy Goats Gruff

Math Workshop
Unit 2 focused on identifying whether the number of objects in one group is greater than, less than, or equal to the number of objects in another group.
Unit 3 focused on counting skills within 10 and writing numerals 0-10 with proper formation. We discussed the importance of being "precise" when counting.

Science
We are working on telling what makes something a LIVING thing and what makes something a NONLIVING thing. Ask your child to tell you the difference!
Looks for things around your house that are LIVING and NONLIVING!
