iReady Diagnostic Growth Water Day Celebration
We are excited to announce that we will be having a Water Day celebration for students who show any growth on either ELA or Math from their Winter to Spring diagnostics. This is planned for the last day of school. Students will be able to dress down in casual clothes and bring a change of clothes to change into once they are done with the activities.
9:00 - 10:00 4th Grade and 1st Grade
10:30 - 11:30 Kindergarten and 3rd Grade
12:00 - 100 2nd Grade and 5th Grade
Planning times will be adjusted for that day so that we have enough teachers and special area teachers helping with the activities. Students who do not qualify will be in the library during their scheduled time.
Adjusted Planning Times
9:00 - 9:30 4th Grade
9:30 - 10:00 1st Grade
10:30 - 11:00 Kindergarten
11:00 - 11:30 3rd Grade
12:00 - 12:30 2nd Grade
12:30 - 1:00 5th Grade
1:00 - 1:35 Special Area Teachers (lunch 11:30 - 12:00)
When classroom teachers are at planning, your students will be in the covered hardcourt area with the specials teachers playing games such as Duck, Duck, Splash, Tug of War, Beach Ball over and under and having ice pops.
When classroom teachers are with their classes for the 30 minutes, your students will be doing relays on the field such as teacher revenge, fill the jar, water sponge relay, and Diver Dash.
Please talk this up with students prior to taking the iReady diagnostic assessment. Remember to qualify they have to show growth on either ELA or math from their Winter to Spring diagnostic.
More specific details as we get closer.
