Gold Star Mothers
World War I Pilgrimage of Remembrance
World War I Overseas Graves Visitation
Join us for a heart warming tribute to our World War I veterans and their mothers. From 1930-1933, the US Government took more than 6,500 mothers of World War I soldiers to Europe to visit their graves. Hear local author and KCPL staff member John Graham pay tribute to these Gold Star Mothers and their sons who made the ultimate sacrifice. This talk is a great supplement for those have enjoyed "A Star for Mrs. Blake" by April Smith.
