This curved rock is 14 meters high and 110 m long. It is a portion of the northern part of Hyden Rock and it is over 2.7 billion years old, found in Hyden Wildlife Park in Western Australia.

The wave is said to have developed by the movement of running water on granite.

The form of Wave Rock is the effect of wind and water erosion that has undercut the base and left a rounded overhang.

Wind erosion is a widespread event that happens to mostly flat, bare areas dry, sandy soils or wherever the soil is very loose and dry. Wind erosion is when the wind removes soil from one place and deposits it in another.
