Sequoia Union High School District 2016-2017 Calendar

Spring Semester Canada classes begin on Tuesday, January 17th. Important Dates can be found on this link

Fall Semester Grades and Transcripts

Independent Study grades are added to student transcripts as classes are completed. Students can ask me to print an updated transcript for them. Transcripts can also be viewed on Infinite Campus.

Fall semester Canada grades will become available on January 4th, 2017. Students can view their grades by logging into their websmart account. I will add these grades to transcripts over the break.

If you are taking a class at your home school this semester, grades will post on January 11th, 2017, and can be viewed through Infinite Campus.

Math Jam

Just a reminder that Math Jam dates are January 9th- January 13th. Students who signed up have received a confirmation email. Please attend if you signed up.

College Classes and Textbooks

It is your responsibility to rent or buy the required textbooks for your community college classes. Please go to the college bookstore to find out what textbooks will be required for the course(s) you have signed up to take. You can purchase the books or rent them from the bookstore. You can also rent textbooks through Amazon.

Independent Study Spring Semester Meetings

Students need to sign up for a new meeting time with me for the spring semester. Most students have already done this, but, if you haven't, we will do so the first week back from vacation. The new schedule will begin when Canada classes begin, on January 17th, 2017.

Seniors Only Graduation Information

We have decided that our Independent Study Senior Celebration (Graduation) will take place on Thursday, June 1st at 3:00. I am in the process of finding a room at Canada College. If this doesn't work out, we will hold our celebration at the SUHSD District Office. Our celebration will be very special. Students will be celebrated!

Students who intend to participate in their home school graduation are responsible for making sure to adhere to required deadlines and meetings. Information can be found on home school websites. Please check this regularly and make sure to follow-up with requirements and deadlines.

Apex classes and Google Classroom assignments over break

Some students intend to work on Apex over the break. I will have limited availability because I will be traveling and spending time with family and friends. Students can text or email me, but will have to be patient with my response.

Students absolutely have access to Google Classroom assignments and should plan to complete assignments if they are behind in a class.
