Cinco de Mayo
By: Ross
What is it?
Cinco de Mayo celebrates the victory of a battle between the Mexicans and French, where the Mexicans came out victorious despite being out numbered 2:1.
Why is it celebrated?
Cinco de Mayo represents unexpected victory, a deus ex machina if you will.
Why though?
It's an excuse for a holiday, like presidents day, really just there so you can have fun.
Would I like to celebrate it?
Sure, free holiday, you have less work and get to have fun, though i think the meaning behind it i pretty dumb.
