Elliott Eagles Weekly Newsletter

Principal Corner
Hello Elliott Family,
This week we celebrate our teachers, including our Elliott classroom teachers, specials teachers, special education teachers, school social workers, occupational therapist, and school psychologist. I am continuously impressed with the amount of time and energy the staff at Elliott puts into making sure all our students are successful! They are a talented group of teachers who demonstrate daily that they want nothing but the best for our students and families. I know that nothing is more special to them than words of appreciation. Please take a few minutes to send a note via a handwritten card, email, or Dojo to thank them for everything they do each and every day that makes Elliott such a great place for our students to learn and grow!
This Wednesday, May 3, is a full day of Professional Development for all Wayne-Westland Staff. There will be no school for students this day.
Our students have completed their M-Step testing. They worked diligently to do their very best! Testing will continue this week with the NWEA testing. All K-5 students will complete these computer adaptive tests over the next few weeks. Your child's teacher will communicate the dates of testing for your child.
Safety Reminder: Safety is of the utmost importance. The parking lot before and after school can be a very dangerous place when adults are not following the posted signs and safety notices that have been shared multiple times. Students must be dropped off/picked up curbside. There should be no double parking and no students crossing between cars or walking in the parking lot unless accompanied by an adult. Please follow all signs and the crossing guards directions.
Please visit our Facebook Page for the most recent photos, including photos from our "Rock the M-Step" assembly and our "Detroit Lions Leaders For Life" assembly, with special guests Roary and former Detroit Lion Scott Conover.
All school and district fliers can now be found with ease on Peachjar. Check out all of the offerings available in and around our community!
