Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow

Hilliard's Highlights

Our school year is flying by. We have 18 days of school until Spring Break.

Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) recently received 2021-2022 Maryland School Report Cards for each of its schools. Report cards use a five star rating. Several measures are used to determine the star rating for each school. The report card evaluates academic performance in reading, math and science, academic growth, English language proficiency, chronic absenteeism, school climate and well-rounded curriculum. For high schools, the state also measures students “on-track” in ninth grade and graduation rate.

Our school received a 5-Star rating. Congratulations UES!!!! Clicking on the link below you can see all of FCPS and state ratings.

We are excited about the many activities that parents are attending at our school. The scholars are so eager to share their outstanding work. Thank you so much for attending the events. Be sure to attend the Shamrock Shake on Wednesday, March 15 @6:30. Come hungry as Food trucks will be on school grounds. Have a great week!

Tracy Hilliard

Principal

Considerations for 2023-2024 Class Placements

It has been our practice at UES to invite parents to be a part of selecting the best learning environment for each scholar.

Please read the FAQ information below before submitting your Google Form.

FAQ's

Yes, you can record on the Google Form the ideal learning environment your hawk scholar needs to be successful in the classroom. Naming a specific hawk teacher will not be honored.

Do you take specific teacher requests?

No we do not take specific hawk teacher requests because staffing can change at anytime and any UES staff member will meet the needs of your hawk scholar.
