Week of Giving
The winter holidays are celebrated each year by showing our kindness to each other. Before the winter break Kenwood always has a Week of Giving to collect canned goods for families in need. Each day students can bring in a canned good to participate in the out of uniform event. On Friday, December 19th, we will have a Day of Giving celebration to collect all of the canned goods from each class. The following is a schedule for the week to show how you and your students can participate!
Monday (December 15th)- Students can wear a hat and/or crazy socks if they bring in one canned good.
Tuesday (December 16th)- Students can participate in crazy hair day if they bring in one canned fruit.
Wednesday (December 17th)- Students can wear their favorite team shirt and jeans if they bring in one dry good/boxed food.
Thursday (December 18th)- Students can wear pajamas if they bring one of the following: canned good, canned fruit, or dry good/boxed food item.
Friday (December 19th)- Day of Giving Celebration! Students can be out of uniform in their holiday dress up OR school uniform. NO jeans! Students can bring in any nonperishable food item.
