#One Vista Voice Vol. 8

The latest news and updates from VLMA

Welcome to our Vista La Mesa Weekly family newsletter!

We hope that the #OneVista Voice will help you stay updated on the happenings at VLMA!

Thank You for an Amazing Year!

With the end of the year fast approaching, I would be remiss to not share my deep gratitude for the families of our OneVista community for what has truly been an amazing year! As a community we have kept our Cheetah Scholars at the center of our decisions and efforts, and in partnership with your family we have weathered some remarkable challenges. Every single time I open a car door at morning drop off, I am reminded of the powerful gift of our students. I am and will remain your honored and proud Principal.

Mrs. Audifferen (your Mrs. A)

Pajama Day Fun

This past week we had a bit of flannel, fuzzy fun in our Pajama Spirit Day! Cheetahs and staff in both Cohorts along with our Virtual students celebrated the joy of learning in pjs! Students in Ms. Keough's class shared their voice that we hadn't had a Spirit Day in a loooooong time. So they created a Google survey to share with the entire student body, tallied the votes and analyzed the data to determine the Spirit Day theme. A student representative also shared the class' data with Mrs. A and Mrs. W. PJ Day won by a landslide!

Cheetahs on Wheels Skate Night

We are celebrating our Promoting Class with a OneVista Skate night at Derby United roller rink! All Vista Families are welcome to join the 8th grade class skating and jamming to some live DJ spinning oldies!

This is not a school sponsored event so families will chaperone their own children and join the community in an open skate session.

Cost is $15 and includes skares (but not safety gear)

No spectators, all guests must purchase an entrance ticket online using the link here
