LGSD Summer Camp Registration Now Open
Summer Camp Dates
Monday, June 28- Friday, July 23 (The program will be closed on Monday, July 5, 2021)
Summer Camp Hours
Full Day Option: 8:00am-5:30pm
Half Day Option (for students attending the Summer Bridge Program): 12:00pm-5:30pm
Summer Camp Rates
Full Day
- Non-Refundable Registration Fee- $25.00 for single student or $30 for all siblings in household
- Weekly Rate- $140 per week ($125 for each additional sibling)
Half Day
- Non-Refundable Registration Fee- $25.00 for single student or $30 for all siblings in household
- Weekly Rate- $70 per week ($50 for each additional sibling)

General Information
- First priority for enrollment will go to incoming 1st-8th grade students enrolled in the Lemon Grove School District for the 2021-2022 school year.
- Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Weekly program fees are due 2 priors to the week your child will be attending. Failure to make payment may result in your child not being able to attend the program
· Late pick ups- There is a fee of $1.00 per minute after program closing

The window for applying closes on June 16 at 6 PM.
About the Before & After School Program
- The before and after school program is funded by the California Department of Education (CDE) through the After School Education & Safety (ASES) grant.
- The program is a 5 day a week program with attendance requirements.
- The program is open to Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade who are enrolled in the Lemon Grove School District.
- The program includes a nutritious meal, homework support, academic, and enrichment activities (i.e. Physical Activity, Visual & Performing Arts, Gardening, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math).
- The program provides a balance of academic support, physical activity, and enrichment activities.
Program Hours of Operation
- The program is open every day that school is in session.
- The Before School Program opens one hour and 30 minutes before the regular school day is scheduled to start.
- The After School Program begins immediately after school is dismissed and closes at 6:00pm sharp.

This is not a school sponsored event so families will chaperone their own children and join the community in an open skate session.
Cost is $15 and includes skares (but not safety gear)

What should students bring/wear that day?
White or light colored clothing shows the colors best
The color should brush/wash off, but please dress in clothes you don’t mind getting covered in colored powder during the run
A mask (teachers will give each student a disposable mask to wear for the run (white side facing out)
Change of clothes if you want to put clean clothes on afterwards
A plastic grocery bag (to put clothes in if you change into clean clothes)
Sunglasses or hat (optional)
Sunscreen should be applied BEFORE they arrive at school
Towel (to help brush off any left over color when you get to the classroom)
Water bottle
Students can opt-out of the color run by having their grown-ups fill out and return the bottom portion of their pink flyers which went home with students.

- Distance and Virtual Learners: June 7-15, 8:30am-4pm at the front office of VLMA
The LGSD 8th grade Unified Promotion Ceremony (VLMA, LGAM, and MV) will be held on Wednesday, June 16 from 9-11 at helix High School's football stadium.
Tickets are required for each person in attendance and each promoting student will receive a maximum of 4 tickets.

Do You Need to Register Your Future Kindergartener for the 2021-22 School Year?
Please note, families do not need to re-register your child if he/she is currently enrolled in grades TK-7th within Lemon Grove.
However, if you have an upper grade student that will be NEW to our district, registration is needed.
Students currently enrolled in preschool NEED to register for Kindergarten
