UAF Dual Credit info & workshop video

Did you know your high schooler can take courses at colleges for dual-credit? The benefits are huge! They can earn double-credit for their courses, receiving both high school & college credit. 1 semester of college=2 semesters of high school, saving students time. And you can use your allotment to pay for the courses. Well now we've added University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) to the mix and at a reduced cost! High schoolers can sign up for UAF virtual classes for $495 per 3-credit course (see the files below for more information).

Watch our recording of the parent workshop by Amy Bristor, the UAF Alaska Advantage Coordinator. In this workshop, she explains how to dual enroll your high schooler at UAF and gives your student practical ways to be successful in university level classes while still in high school. It is very informative and such an exciting opportunity for your student!

Please contact your sponsor teacher or Amy Bristor (albristor@alaska.edu) with questions. A PDF flyer you can download outlining the program is just below.
