Classroom Happenings

Hi All--

I would first like to give a HUGE thank you to all of you for all that you did to make Teacher Appreciation week an awesome week for me. I certainly felt loved and appreciated with all of the notes, presents and sweet treats!! I can't begin to tell you how very much I appreciated all of what you did to show your appreciation to me! It was a wonderful week!

I know it has been awhile since you have received a newsletter so this one is going to be jam packed with information for the end of the year. Please read through all of it! Thanks :)

Last Friday we had the pleasure of eating a pizza lunch with the Mayor of Noblesville, John Ditslear. The grandparents of Jalyn Cooke-Nettles won this event at a fundraising event this year. We had an awesome time! Below are some pics from the luncheon. We are super grateful to Jalyn's grandparents as well as the Mayor for such an awesome treat!!

We are finishing up our NWEA testing for the year this week. I will be having the students update their leadership binders with their new scores. I will be meeting with each student to go over their scores for the year and celebrate their growth. Over the course of the next two weeks I wll also be assessing their end of the year reading level. We will also be adding that to our leadership binder data.

Here are some of the very fun activities that will be going on during the last couple of weeks of school!

Panther Powlooza-- Saturday May 14-- 4:00-7:00.

This is such a fun event for the kids and helps to raise lots of money that goes directly back to all students at PRE!! Please come and enjoy the fun! I know that they are still in need of volunteers to make this event a success. You can go to the Promise Road facebook page and there have been several posts about this. :)

THIRD GRADE FIELD TRIP: Wednesday May 25- 9-2:00

The third graders will all be heading downtown to the NCAA Hall of Champions. This field trip is truly a fun one for the kids. They learn a lot about what it takes to become a college athlete plus they will get to try out lots of fun sports! We will be eating outside (weather permitting) on the grounds of the White River which is connected to the NCAA Hall of Champions.

Field Day-- THIRD GRADE: FRIDAY MAY 27- 9:15-11:15

I know that Mrs. Masterson is still looking for volunteers for this fun event!! Please consider volunteering to help make this a fun event for the kids. Also please make sure you dress your child appropriately for the weather.

3rd grade End of the Year Awards: June 1st- 10:30--

Parents are welcome and encouraged to come join in this celebration of all of the students accomplishments!!

SchoolKidz Supply Kits for next year!

SchoolKidz is the school supply kit that is delivered to your child's classroom for the first day of school. No running from store to store looking for the right supplies, it's all done for you. The SchoolKidz supply list is chosen by the teachers so the kit contains the exact supplies needed for the classroom. SchoolKidz information flyers were sent home with students on Wednesday, May 4. All orders will be accepted online through Friday, May 27. To order go to www.shopttkits.com. The Promise Road School account number is #26776. Thank You!

BEHAVIOR:

Teacher vs. CLASS:

Our class has achieved their latest goal!! They earned a total of 100 points for good behavior. They have selected an extra recess/game day! We will be celebrating this reward sometime next week.
