Mrs. Darnell 1st Grade

Dear Parent,

February brings Groundhog’s Day and Valentine’s Day. In the midst of all this excitement, it is important for your child to continue reading at home and completing daily homework assignments. Thank you for all you do!!

'100th' Day

Reminder, this Thursday, February 4th will be the 100th day of school. We will have lots of educational fun activities planned. In addition we would love to have the students dress up like they are 100 years old. We have included some ideas to help you.

Skyping with Mr. Delkus

We had a great time skyping with Pete Delkus. He was kind enough to give our children a shout out on the 10 p.m. news last night. In case you don't get channel 8 you can watch the video below. ; )

In science, we will be making predictions for Groundhog’s Day. We will also be studying the sun and the phases of the moon. Take time each night to observe and record the phases of the moon.
