The Greek Monster
Description
A monsterous sea "goddess" who was in charge with Charybdis, of the sea between Italy and Sicily. Scylla is described as a creature with twelve feet, six long necks, and a triple row of teeth. Her was told as the sound of millions of yelping dogs.

The Story
Many ships would pass through Italy and Sicily, but none returned. This is because ships have to enter between Charybdis and Scylla, either you enter closer to Charybdis or Scylla but no matter what, the ships aren't going to make it back.
