Dear Cub Families,
We had an exciting week at Cleveland. Fourth grade classes had a learning-filled field trip to Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art. Students were investigating and applying diverse resources in media for creating themed art through the use of personal sketch books as they explored the many exhibits found within the museum.
Congratulations to all our 4th and 5th grade spelling bee participants and to Cal Ryan, our Cleveland Elementary Spelling Bee Champion!
This week we have 5th grade All-City Orchestra on Wednesday, 1st Grade Program on Thursday and the following week will be Art and Book Fair!
Be sure to check out the dates below. Looking forward to great week of learning and fun!

Second Step Information
We want your child to be successful in school and that means supporting and encouraging their whole development. While excelling in academic classes is important, children also need skills to take on learning challenges, make good decisions, manage strong emotions, and get along with others.
Please see below to learn more about what your child is learning next week and find guiding questions to assist with continuing the conversation at home. Families can also visit The Second Step Family Webpage to view full lessons and student handouts.
Parents, see the Home Links below for ideas on how you can reinforce what your child is learning the week of February 13th regarding solutions focused thinking!
