SHOUT OUT: AFJROTC
Our Air Force JROTC made Tivy proud this week. Tivy cadets participated the Homecoming parade , various Veteran's Day ceremonies, and hosted their own celebration. What a fine group of young men and women. Thanks Colonel Woods and Chief Brunz for all you do.

Wow! Two weeks of Homecoming spread out over 4 weeks was quite a feat. Thanks to all the sponsors for keeping the momentum going and pulling it all together in the end. We look forward to literacy grants from all your hard work.
SHOUT OUT: Students Speak Highly of You
A group of students attended Leadership KISD to talk about the lessons learned in CTE courses, OnRamps courses, and their overall experience at Tivy. While students don't always tell you, they appreciate your hard work.

Congratulations to our football players and coaches for capturing the district title on Friday night defeating Medina Valley. First round play-off game will be Friday at home!
SHOUT OUT: Other Duties as Assigned
Thanks for Mr. Irvin and Mr. Butler for dancing with the Golden Girls Friday night. It means a lot to those students to have someone step in and step up. Thanks for being willing. Thanks to the Golden Girls and Mrs. Wallace for always being a class act.
SHOUT OUT: PE Pals
Coach Fierro and Coach Aragones have our modified PE class working hard and playing hard. Students are assisted each day by our PE Pals.

Mrs. Strain is going to be collecting photos of students reading in strange and unusual places. We would love to encourage students to participate by posting their photos using twitter hashtags. Students can also email photos to teachers. We kicked off the initiative by reading before the football game.
