Words of Wisdom
"The smallest good deed is better than the grandest good intention." ~ Unknown
Have you ever had the intention of doing something grand and selfless...something like taking a service vacation to spend a week building homes for the needy or helping build reliable sources of water in developing countries? Maybe it was an intention to spend a weekend helping an older relative clean out a packed garage or attic. These are all honorable intentions, but busy lives get in the way.
Here's an idea: Trim down those intentions. Spend a Saturday morning tutoring a child at-risk; plant a tree in a city park; take cookies to an older relative. These small, but good deeds are far better than all the good intentions in the world.
