PLEASE BE SURE TO VOTE: Message from Supt. Dr. Bruce Gearing
Here it is as a Video Message
Leander ISD Community,
As a community, it is clear how much we value civic responsibility and having our voice heard. Please educate yourself on what's on the ballot, and get out and vote.
On the May ballot is a bond election for Leander ISD, which addresses our number one priority, the safety and security of our staff and students; renovated and new schools; and device replacement and infrastructure.
Early voting started Monday and will last until Tuesday, May 2. You can vote at any voting location in the county you live in. Please note that there are different early voting hours in Williamson than Travis counties. You can find information about voting locations and hours, along with detailed project lists and highlights of our fiscal management, on our bond website: leanderisd.org/bond2023.
Thank you so much for being engaged in this election. I've said it before: every election is determined by the people who show up. Every vote counts, Leander ISD. We need to hear your voice.
Bruce Gearing, Ed.D.

STAAR May 9th
River Place 3rd through 5th Graders will take the annual STAAR tests on the following dates:
May 9-- Math
May 10-11th- Make Up STAAR Testing
To support testing needs, we will have no visitors on campus on these dates including lunch visitors for all grade levels. Visitors are allowed on STAAR Make Up Testing dates, however.
Students benefit from getting a good night’s sleep before the test and having a healthy breakfast the morning of the assessment. Please encourage your child to take the upcoming STAAR seriously and to give their best effort. Students have the entire school day to take the test if needed, so they should be encouraged to take their time.
