Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord
A further significance of the Ascension is that now that Jesus has departed, it is time for the Spirit to be sent to his people as his continuing presence among them. Next Sunday we will celebrate the great feast of Pentecost, when the disciples will be "clothed with power from on high" as Jesus promises in today's Gospel.

All School Field Trip
Tomorrow, Thursday, the whole school will be traveling to St. Mary's Cathedral for a presentation on St. Francis and Junipero Serra. The day will be in the format of a Cinco de Mayo festival. Our school will be with two other schools from the Archdiocese for this special event.
We ask that all parents who drop children off in the morning leave the parking lot immediately after the morning assembly as we will have the buses come into the lower parking lot for students to board.
Teacher Appreciation Week
This week we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week for all Catholic School Teachers across the country. To be a Catholic School Teacher is a ministry in education. Our teachers make many sacrifices, and we are very fortunate at All Souls to have a wonderful staff that support the children we serve. Congratulations teachers!!!!
I wish to congratulate all the children who participated in the Talent sShow. It is always wonderful to see the many talents that our children possess. Well done!!!!
Thanks to Miss Johanson for organizing the show this year.
