Volume 6, February 2020
From Mrs. Brister's desk...
1st and 2nd grades have begun working with our Osmo Learning Systems, and will continue to use them for a couple of more weeks as we work through numbers, letters, and shapes.
3rd and 4th grades have been fully engaged in a learning app that teaches problem-solving and logical reasoning skills using cool physics puzzles. If you'd like to have your child work on these skills at home, they can go to https://www.mathplayground.com/logic_snail_bob_2.html.
5th grade has had a blast learning about pixels/computer graphics and how they have changed over time. Students enjoyed playing some vintage video games such as Pac Man, Frogger, Sonic the Hedgehog, Donkey Kong and more.
6th grade finished up their "All About Me" Google Slide shows and presented them in class. They are currently working on a Social Media essay project in Google Docs format.
We are looking forward to all that God has in store for us as we press on this semester. Thank you for your support of your children in Idea Lab.
Watching God work,
Carol Brister
