An Inside Look
Students in Ms. Tobia and Ms. Bonnie's PreK-4 class at School 1 learned all about the electric guitar. Ms. Bonnie showed the class the parts of her electric guitar. They counted the strings and listened to how the sounds are different depending on where they put their fingers. The class talked about how musicians read notes that tell them where to place their fingers. They ended the day listening to some songs they know played on the electric guitar.

The students became little teachers, teaching their partners about reading strategies and how to use these strategies to be word detectives. The children are growing more and more into super readers!
