In addition to using quality moisturizers and lip balm, did you know that staying hydrated and drinking water can prevent chapped lips and skin? That’s another reason to drink more water, especially in the winter!

EC Envirothon Team - Grades 4th and 5th
Welcome to the Chester County Envirothon! The Chester County Conservation District sponsors this annual environmental educational program with Chester County Facilities and Parks, hosting it at Hibernia County Park. Each year students from public, private, parochial, and home schools, grades 3-12, celebrate months of research, exploration, and preparation with an enjoyable outdoor competition and measure of learning.

EC will have one or two 5 member teams of fourth and fifth graders.
Classroom and outdoor learning experiences
Learn about aquatics, forestry, wildlife, outdoor safety and the current environmental issue: “adapting to a changing climate”
Fun Competition and craft at Hibernia Park on Wednesday, April 26th, 2023. The District provides transportation to the event. However, families need to transport their son or daughter to the middle school where the bus will depart.
Cost is FREE for all Chester County Schools

Attention East Coventry 1st and 2nd graders! STEAM Club
Are you interested in science, technology, engineering and math? Come join Mrs. Pahl and Mrs. Hartenstine in an after school STEAM Club! This is a FREE after school program focused on developing STEM skills through hands-on activities. The STEAM Club will meet Monday-Thursday 3:15-4:00 the weeks of February 6th and February 13th.

Harry Potter Club is back! Grades 4 - 6
Calling all Harry Potter fans...East Coventry is once again hosting a Harry Potter Club! We will have fun interacting with all things Harry Potter including trivia, debates, crafts, readings, problem solving, experiments, scavenger hunts...the adventures are endless.
Hope you can join us every Wednesday from February 1 through March 22 (no club on half day of March 1). Our first session will begin right after school onFebruary 1. Please provide prompt pick-up at 4:15pm.
There is no fee for this club, but registration must be completed through January 30th. This club is for fourth, fifth and sixth graders and the number of participants is limited to 15.

Someone Special Dance
Make plans to join us once again for another evening of FUN! On Friday, February 10th, we’ll be ‘under the starts’ at ECPTO’s Someone Special Dance! Each student at EC can bring one ‘someone special’. Please keep in mind, this is NOT a drop-off event, so that ‘someone special’ can be the parent ;-) This is a FREE event, with an option to purchase Chik-Fil-A for dinner. Boxtops for Education
Did you know????.....Last quarter, we earned $100 for the PTO from scanning our receipts from grocery runs?! And that was with just 8 EC families participating! Can you imagine how much we could earn if more families scanned their receipts?! All you need to do is download the boxtops app (https://www.boxtops4education.com/s/get-the-app), search for “E Coventry Elementary” and start scanning! Let’s earn lots more in the next quarter!!
Science Explorers
Science Explorers is BACK!! Sign your kiddos up for some extra STEAM fun, with our very own Mrs. Grove! These sessions are SOOOO much fun, and your kids will absolutely love it!! There’s lots more exciting sessions in the second half of the year, so go check out the schedule soon! Spots fill up quickly! Any of the remaining sessions would make an awesome gift idea!!
