Bus Stop Reminders
Student safety is so important! Please continue the great job you do reminding your child to be S.O.A.R. safe when waiting at bus stops, getting on/off the school bus, or when crossing a road to load/unload the school bus. The brochure linked below includes all of the Safe, Orderly, and Respectful tips from Forsyth County Student Transportation. A few highlights include:
· Respect and stay away from the “Danger Zone” around the bus. This is 12 feet in each direction.
· Never go behind the school bus.
· Pay attention to your driver’s signals.
· Stay alert. Listen carefully and look left and right before stepping off the bus or crossing the street.

Can you help one more time? Warm hats, gloves & socks for children in need
The PTO's recent coat drive was a smashing success and a great example of our generous and compassionate Wildcat family! That's why we are very excited to partner with The Place of Forsyth County again this year to support their Holiday House.
This year, we will be collecting new hats, gloves and socks. Our Voyage anchor for the month of December is Compassion. What better way to teach our students what Compassion means than by showing them first hand!
We will be accepting donations Dec.3 - 17. Please place your donations in the marked boxes in the front office. Thank you for working with us to make sure every family in our community has a wonderful holiday season!
Do you know a family who is food insecure?
Foodfinder is a free app and website with information on 1,000 free food programs like food pantries all across Georgia. This private & free tool can be a 24/7 guide for anyone who needs extra support! Find out more at https://foodfinder.us/
Flu season is fast approching!

A Few Reminders from Nurse G
Please send extra clothes for your child to keep in their back packs. You never know when milk will spill or a mud puddle will call for splashing in. Even the older students can have a need for a change of clothes.
Forsyth County Policy: The policy states that when a child has a fever (100 degrees or above), vomiting or diarrhea, they must be free of these symptoms for 24 hours without any medications for these symptoms (i.e. Tylenol, Motrin, Imodium, Pepto-Bismol, etc.) before they may return to school. Please do not send your child to school if they are sick. This passes germs to everyone else.
No medication should be brought to school with your child. Parents must bring all medications to the clinic- even cough drops. An Administration of Medication Form also is needed for all OTC medications (ie cough drops, Tylenol, etc.). If your child has allergies or a medical condition which requires treatment at school please make sure you complete the forms that were previously sent home. Once completed, please bring those in along with the required medications. If you have any questions, please contact Nurse G.
Cold Weather Clothing: As the weather turns colder, don’t forget those warm coats, hats and gloves. It can be cold at recess on frosty days, so bundle up!
We are almost there!
Sincerely,
Nurse G
