ACT Registration Deadline September 25th
Registration for any ACT October testing date is Friday, Sept. 25.
Other information about National ACT testing
Westside High School is a test site for the national test date on Saturday, October 24. Interested juniors and seniors can sign up for this test date and others through the ACT web site
ACT has added some additional test dates. Here is some information we have about other metro schools:
Elkhorn South has added 5 additional dates with limited capacity: September 13, September 19, October 10, October 17, October 25
Papillion-LaVista South has added October 10
Papillion-LaVista has added October 17
UNO Dual Enrollment Deadline
A link to more information regarding dual enrollment can be found on our School Counseling web pages.
Instructors for courses have been communicating with students regarding registering for dual enrollment with UNO. Questions regarding this process can be directed to Dr. Vicki Londer in our School Counseling Department at londer.vicki@westside66.net
Virtual College Fairs, Tours, and More
Our School Counseling website has many additional resources for students and families. We would like to highlight opportunities to attend college fairs and tours virtually.
Virtual College Fairs
- Education Quest is hosting a virtual college fair Sept. 27-30
- NACAC virtual college fair is Oct. 12, 18, and Nov. 8

Virtual College Representative Visits
Here are the details for visits with college representatives virtually.
- Visits will be sent to Junior and Senior Announcements each Friday via email for the following week. You may also see all upcoming visits by logging into SCOIR and checking under Events & Deadline from the dropdown (3 lines in upper right corner).
- To RSVP at least one day prior to the visit:
- Log into SCOIR (see your counselor ASAP if you need help getting set up)
- Select 'Events & Deadlines' from the dropdown (3 lines in upper right corner)
- When you see the event you would like to join, click 'Count Me In' (you may unclick later it if your plan changes)
- The Webex Link will be provided to students who RSVP.
- Limited seating will be available in the counseling office where the Webex will be broadcast, but you may also join from any quiet space at school or home.
- Once the meeting has concluded, a participant log will be provided to the attendance office and you will be excused from any missed classes (in person or extended learning). You must be present in the Webex to be excused from class.

SCOIR
- SCOIR is a resource and management hub for post secondary plans.
- Each student has a SCOIR account.
- Virtual tours of many colleges and universities are available through this service.
- Parents should also receive an email to join SCOIR once the student account is setup.
- Questions regarding SCOIR can be directed to paulson.andrea@westside66.net

We-Side Poster Competition
College Possible Junior Recruitment
College Possible supports students with some demonstrated financial need navigate the path to college from junior year to graduation to the start of college. College Possible is currently recruiting junior students at Westside High School.
