The Tragic 9/11 Event
By: Emily Walker
The day of September 11, 2001 was a day that will never be forgotten. It was a clear Tuesday morning when two planes were flown into the World Trade Center in New York., and a third plane hit the Pentagon just outside of Washington, DC. The fourth plane the passengers had crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania because terrorists took it over and were heading it towards Washington, DC. People still as of today question and wonder why it had happened.
As of today there are many conspiracies to 9/11 and how it had happened. People believe that it was planned by the former President George W. Bush profited from the attacks that had occurred. Another conspiracy is that the planes didn't make the twin collapse, they believe that bombs did. Many speculate that the towers were demolished and blown down from bombs in selective areas of the location. Others as well believe that the Pentagon attack scientifically does not hold up. Theorists believe that the impact holes in the Pentagon were much smaller than an American Airlines Plane.
The type of bias that I have seen throughout the stories of 9/11 is biased by source selection because the different sources are only giving one part of the argument and not the whole story. They are only giving their opinion on what they think happened on 9/11 and not the whole story behind it. They are using there opinion to influence the audience perspective on the situation.
The type of criticism that I noticed throughout reading stories of 9/11 is historical. Even as of today people are still uncertain as to how 9/11 occurred and why it had happened. There are still so many stories pertaining to 9/11. Today in society 9/11 is still one of the biggest events in recent history.
I strongly believe that this horrific event had been intentionally planned to threaten America and frighten others. It had affected so many individuals and families.
