March Madness!

College acceptances are rolling in and our seniors are deciding on their future plans! Juniors are meeting with counselors to discuss courses for next year in addition to post-secondary planning. Counselors have gone into all Junior classrooms to provide important information regarding the college search and application process, in addition to providing clear action steps and timelines to follow. More information will be provided in our upcoming Junior College Night - we hope to see you there!

Mark your calendars - Junior College Night will be happening on April 8th!! NHS counselors will provide an overview of college planning, as well as how to prepare for your senior year, followed by a panel discussion of admission representatives to offer insight into the college admission process! We will be hosting representatives from UCONN, Western Connecticut State University, University of New Haven, & Quinnipiac University.

SAT School Day!!

SAT School Day will be on March 27th! Get all of your last minute practice in by logging in to your Khan Academy account at: https://www.khanacademy.org/sat

Nonnewaug High School Counseling Dept.

The Nonnewaug High School Counseling Department is designed to meet the needs of all students in the high school community.

The School Counseling Department helps students with their academic, career and social growth. School counselors work with students during various developmental stages within the span of their high school career including assisting students with decision making and problem solving, transition and adjustment, goal-setting and academic achievement, and career and college planning.
