Carolina Northern Flying Squirrel

Meet the Glaucomys sabrinus
The flying squirrel is nocturnal. They have very large eyes that help them see. It has brown fur that helps it blend in. They can't fly, but they actually glide with flaps of skin that stretch between their wrists and their ankles. They have a flat tail that acts as a rudder.
Where are they found?
Western North Carolina, Eastern Tennessee, and South west Virginia in the mountains
Why are they endangered?
Habitat destruction, intrusive species, recreational and residential development, and pollution.
What can we save them?
Stop clearing the forests it is killing millions of animals. Stop introducing exotic species. Stop polluting
