Black Cherry Trees

Our Mission
Our project is to help people learn about different trees. We are putting up QR Codes to tell information and the animals that call it home.
Black Cherry
(Prunus Serotina) Also know as Wild Cherry, it is a fast-growing tree, with white flowers, and edible fruit that many birds and animals like to eat. Even though it is usually on the smaller end, it can still sometimes grow up to 80 ft. tall. It can have dark grey, or black tree bark. It is most easily identified by it's long, smooth leaves. Although it can be found throughout other parts of North America, it is most commonly native to eastern North America.
