Cyber Monday Practice! Don't forget!
Students will be off Monday, but we are asking them to take a little time out of their day to go to our practice cyber day website and log in. There's a short activity there and the county is testing to see how many people can get on in case of a snow day in the future. So, please remember to log in. As a bonus, if a student logs in, there will be no homework for the week! : D
Parent Teacher Conferences
Looking forward to seeing you this week! We'll be able to sit down review grades, progress and talk about a plan for continued success and readiness for 4th grade. Can't wait to see you.
Early Release days Wednesday and Thursday this week!
Please note that both Wednesday and Thursday are early release days. Your students will be released to go home or after school care at 12:50. Please make sure that your student knows how he or she are going home each day.
No school for students February 20th
Students are off from school on the 20th
Book Fair this week
Although our class did go to the book fair Friday, February 17th for purchasing, the book fair is open this week. Please send money in with your child and if they want to go back to the bf, we'll get them there to purchase any good books or goodies they missed out on last week.
Its a short week but we're still learning!
Tests this week
Math fractions unit 1 test on Friday the 24th
Position and support
In our writing, we'll be reading two sides to an issue and then deciding on a side to support. We'll have to establish a clear position, then identify good ideas that are convincing to support the position. This will be prep work to crafting a persuasive/opinion essay the following week.
Math only meets Tuesday and Friday this week.
Due to students being off Monday and an early release schedule for both Wednesday and Thursday, we'll only meet two times for math this week! On Tuesday, we'll review and summarize our fractions unit 1. On Friday, we'll test on Unit 1 Fractions.
science is feeling the heat!
We dig a little deeper into the heat unit at students begin to study heat transfer.
