Family & Student Weekly News
December 21, 2018
Dear Brooklyn Collaborative Families,
With the kick off of winter recess, we wish you a joyful, restful, and safe holiday season!
This is the last edition of our weekly family & student news for 2018!
As we turn the page on 2018, we look back with deep appreciation and fondness for our journey together this year. From the New Families Orientation Breakfast & Dinner, New Families Welcome Potluck, Family Breakfast Series with School Leaders, Curriculum Night, Apple Fest, Student-Led Conferences (SLCs), Crewsgiving, PTA Parent Workshops, Family Fun Trip to Holiday Train Show, Expeditionary Thursdays, College March, YWCA After School Program, student council elections, soccer and basketball games, BCS/BNS unity collaborations, school wide roll out of Pupil Path and mastery based grading family workshops, and so much more, we have come to grow our partnership in supporting our students and in living out our vision and mission.
As we look forward to 2018, we wish you and your loved ones a Happy New Year!
Please take the time to enjoy the moments you have together and to reflect upon all for which you are grateful. What are your commitments for the New Year? What highlights and memories from 2018 will you store in your memory bank?
We look forward to continuing our work with you to support student academic and social-emotional growth at Brooklyn Collaborative!
As always, we appreciate and thank you for collaborating with and trusting us with your children.
With heartfelt and deepest thanks,
Scill, Amanda, Imani (BCS School Leaders)
Tracey (BCS Parent Coordinator)
