Planning for end of year activities
We will ask staff members to park in the lot across from the front of the circle, and leave the regular teacher lot for parents. However, parking will be very TIGHT. We need for as many people as possible to walk, carpool or ride share so that there is adequate parking.
Kinder students eat at 10:45 and there are only 38 kinder students. However, the next grade eats at 11:15 and their parents will need to park before kinder is finished eating, and it's a very large group (about 100). That large group will be finishing when 3rd grade parents come to eat at 11:45.
On May 21st, 1st grade will eat at 11:00, and 2nd grade at 11:30. We'll have the same issue but for just 2 grades instead of 3.
Please coordinate with your spouse/partner and friends to try and minimize the number of cars needed that day. We want everyone to enjoy this activity with their student if they are able, and spending 15 minutes parking and walking up to school would be frustrating!

Parent Internet Reporting is an on-demand tool for parents that allows guardians to view their children's online activity and increases the measures already taken to protect our students while using a District device. Through this platform, parents will receive weekly email reports summarizing internet activity on District devices, as well as the ability to access real-time reporting of what their students are doing online. In an effort to help our parents control screen time while students are home, the system will also allow for a guardian to pause the internet on a GCISD device.
There is an online course that will explain the Parent Internet Reporting that will be launched on April 21. If you cannot attend the virtual training on April 20, you must complete the course to receive access to the parent internet reporting tool. The course can be found at www.gcisd.net/ParentInternet.

HERE is a list of possible questions to answer or thoughts to ponder during your video. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Attached you will find a copy of the State of Texas 2019–20 School Report Card for Glenhope. This report is required by the Texas Legislature and prepared by the Texas Education Agency. It is to be sent to the parent or guardian of every child enrolled in a Texas public school. The report provides information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®), as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures. Due to COVID-19, STAAR® assessments were canceled for the 2019–20 school year. Therefore, several data points have not been updated, including STAAR® and academic growth data.
