J.J Thomson is a very intelligent person. He recieved the Nobel prize for physics in 1906 for finding the Electron in 1897 and knighted for it in 1908. He studied at Trinity College in the UK and became Master of Trinity College later in his life. He was a teacher too, students came from around the world for his education at the Cavendish Labotory, where he conducts his research.
He discovered the electron when he was studying cathode rays. His discovery forced major changes to the atomic theory.
